Rodney Dixon QC representing Mr Hasnat Karim and his family has filed an urgent complaint with the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention seeking the immediate release of Mr. Karim from detention in Bangladesh.
He was arrested by the authorities there following the recent terror attack in Dhaka in which he was held as a hostage with his family. He is currently being interrogated without charge and without access to a lawyer and his family. The petition requests that the Working Group visit him in order to guarantee his safety and to secure his release. See news link below.
