The Independent Jersey Care Inquiry, which had spent three years investigating allegations of the abuse of children in care, and the covering up of that abuse, published its report on 3 July 2017.
The Panel concluded that there had been widespread abuse over many years, that it had not been properly investigated and that children in care on the island might still be at risk. Cathryn McGahey KC was co-counsel to the Inquiry.
