Rhys was asked to comment on the legality of President Trump’s threat to target Iranian cultural sites.
Rhys told The Independent that the military action described in Mr Trump’s tweets could certainly be a war crime and noted that although the US is not a signatory of the International Criminal Court, there is a domestic framework where someone could be brought to justice in the US.
