In Kristen Behrens v Arconic Inc and others in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, on 16 September 2020, His Honour Judge Baylson granted the defendants’ motion to dismiss product liability claims brought by the estates of some 69 people who perished in the Grenfell Tower fire on 14 June 2017 and some 177 injured survivors on the grounds of forum non-conveniens.
