Rhys Davies was profiled in Counsel Magazine as part of a feature on the winners of the Bar Pro Bono Awards, given every year in recognition of outstanding commitment to pro bono work by barristers or chambers. Rhys was jointly named International Pro Bono Barrister of the year for his work in the case of Ryan Cornelius, a British national who has been arbitrarily detained by the UAE since 2008.
