Conclusion of unlawful killing reached in inquest into IED death in Iraq

Former British soldier Stuart Coburn, 43, was unlawfully killed when he was attempting to neutralize a 100kg improvised explosive device (IED) in Iraq. Mr Coburn, who served in the Army with the Royal Engineers, was employed by a US mine clearance company working in Ramadi, Iraq.

The Coroner reached a conclusion of unlawful killing. Ellen Robertson represented the family.
