Inquest into three deaths on Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 concludes

On 10 March 2019, 157 passengers and crew on board a Boeing 737 Max, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, died after it crashed shortly after its takeoff from Addis Ababa airport.  

The inquest into the deaths of three British victims on board the flight concluded on 10 July 2023. The Senior Coroner for West Sussex delivered a narrative conclusion, in which she concluded that they were unlawfully killed.

Sian Reeves represented the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority at the inquest.
