The Inquiry into the death of Dawn Sturgess begins on 14th October 2024 in Salisbury

The Inquiry is chaired by the Rt Hon Lord Hughes of Ombersley, a former Justice of the Supreme Court. It will hear evidence in Salisbury from 14-18th October before continuing in London from 28th October to 6th December.

Dawn Sturgess’ death on 8th July 2018 was due to poisoning by Novichok, a highly toxic chemical weapon. Her death followed an earlier attempted assassination of Sergei Skripal with Novichok. The Inquiry will investigate the circumstances surrounding Dawn Sturgess’ death and responsibility for the attack, including the issue of Russian state involvement.
