On Thursday 10th of July, Rhys Davies, Emilie Pottle, and Ben Keith of 5SAH hosted a seminar at Temple Garden Chambers in the Hague on Combating Transnational Repression. The session examined the growing misuse of international legal tools, focusing on the weaponisation of Interpol systems and the legal challenges faced by practitioners representing individuals targeted by cross-border persecution. The speakers addressed the practical difficulties of identifying and contesting abusive Red Notices, resisting politically motivated extradition requests, and developing strategic responses to protect vulnerable clients.
