Preliminary hearing in BA flight 149 litigation

Around 100 passengers and crew of BA flight 149 seek damages for the mistreatment they suffered at the hands of Saddam Hussein’s forces following Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait in August 1990. A preliminary hearing was held on 3 November before Mr Justice Garnham and Master Armstrong. Anthony Lenanton appeared on behalf of the Cabinet Office, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and the Ministry of Defence.
