Consumer Rights Act 2015 claim for injury caused by defective trial e-scooter

Alex Glassbrook, instructed by Jennifer Kelly of Fieldfisher LLP,  acted for the Claimant who fell from an e-scooter which he described as suddenly malfunctioning while he was riding it, causing him to fall and to suffer multiple fractures. The e-scooter was hired as part of a permitted trial of e-scooters. The claim issued and was due for case and costs management including directions as to e-disclosure. The e-scooter operator settled the claim, accepting the Claimant’s Part 36 offer.
