Closing oral submissions presented in trial before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, The Hague

Oral closing submissions were presented last week and are continuing this week in the case of Thaçi et al before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) in The Hague. Rodney Dixon KC is acting in this trial as Lead Counsel for Kadri Veseli, the former Speaker of the Kosovo Parliament, and Aidan Ellis is Co-Counsel for Jakup Krasniqi, the former acting President of Kosovo.

The trial concerns charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) during the conflict with Serbian armed forces in 1998-1999 in Kosovo. The trial commenced in April 2023 with judgment expected in a few months after the closing submissions.
