Temple Garden Chambers, in association with the Commission for International Justice and Accountability (CIJA), is hosting an evening panel discussion on the future of international criminal law.
The event brings together leading practitioners and experts to examine how a rapidly changing global landscape — shaped by ongoing conflicts, shifting geopolitical realities, and challenges to multilateral institutions — is testing the international criminal justice system and what this means for accountability and the rule of law going forward.
We are pleased to announce the full speaker panel:
Sir Howard Morrison KCMG CBE KC is a former Judge of the International Criminal Court and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, where he served as President of the Appeals Division. He is currently advising the UK government on war crimes in Ukraine.
Nerma Jelacic is Director of the Commission for International Justice and Accountability (CIJA). She previously served as Head of Communications at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
Rodney Dixon KC is a barrister at Temple Garden Chambers and co-author of Archbold International Criminal Courts. He has represented states and victims in landmark proceedings before the ICC and ICJ.
Andrew Cayley CMG KC is a barrister at Temple Garden Chambers. He served as a Principal Trial Lawyer at the ICC and as International Chief Prosecutor of the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia.
The discussion will be chaired by Rhys Davies, a barrister at Temple Garden Chambers specialising in international criminal law and human rights.
Refreshments will be available. Places are limited.
