It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin McLoughlin, His Majesty’s Senior Coroner for West Yorkshire (East) and a former member of Chambers, who passed away on Saturday.
Kevin joined Temple Garden Chambers following a distinguished career as a solicitor at DLA Piper, where he served as lead partner in the Insurance, Marine and Aviation Group. He went on to build a highly regarded practice at the Bar, specialising in inquests, personal injury, and health and safety law.
Kevin was deeply committed to the Bar and greatly valued his time at Chambers. He formed many close personal and professional friendships during his career and remained a loyal supporter and friend to Chambers after his appointment as Senior Coroner in 2018.
Kevin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
