Rodney Dixon KC will be among the speakers at a high-level panel discussion taking place today (24 March 2026) at Hogan Lovells in London, examining the International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction beyond Darfur.
The event will focus on a newly submitted Communication to the ICC Prosecutor, which argues that the Court’s jurisdiction may extend across the whole of Sudan where there is a sufficient link to the situation referred by UN Security Council Resolution 1593 (2025), including in relation to alleged new crimes.
Rodney Dixon KC, of Temple Garden Chambers, joins a distinguished panel including Danielle Flanagan, Laetitia Maurat of the Centre for Information Resilience, Dr Mohamed Abdelsalam Babiker, UN Special Rapporteur, and human rights advocate Eiman Hamza Baldo.
The discussion comes at a critical time for accountability efforts in Sudan, as legal experts assess the scope of the ICC’s mandate in light of evolving circumstances on the ground.
