John Bate-Williams Announces Retirement After 47 Years at Chambers

John joined Chambers, then known as 1 Temple Gardens, on 1 April 1979. Now, on the 47th anniversary of that day, he brings his extraordinary career to a close. Over decades in practice, John built an illustrious reputation as a heavyweight personal injury barrister. A formidable and much-feared opponent, he was one of the most in-demand advocates at the Bar. His skill, presence, and razor-sharp wit have left a lasting mark on judges, colleagues and clients alike.

Everyone at Temple Garden Chambers extends their warmest thanks to John for his immense contribution over the years and wishes him a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.
