E v J & J

12/05/2023

£1.55m settlement for a 42-year-old former carpenter who sustained a moderately severe traumatic brain injury in a fall in the course of her employment. Liability was admitted. Marcus represented the Claimant.

He developed a cluster of symptoms commonly associated with a moderately severe TBI, the most debilitating of which was fatigue.

C also developed profound depression. His marriage failed and he found himself living a reclusive life. Over time he began to accept that he needed help.

The settlement reflected his need for a support structure around him involving case management, input from a support worker and a lifelong reservoir of funds for neuropsychological support.

The case settled through negotiation.
