Working with Ballinger Law Limited and instructed by MS-Legal, George Davies acted as sole advocate for the Claimant in a 6-day trial before Ellenbogen J in the King’s Bench Division. The Court gave judgment in favour of the Claimant (a Libyan State Entity) for €13.3 million plus £1.8 million in respect of its claim for the misappropriation of funds by an English company and its directors. The claim succeeded on (1) inducement of a breach of contract (2) dishonest assistance and (3) unlawful means conspiracy.
