Ellen Robertson acted for the Health Board in a two-week jury inquest into a prison death, where the deceased had consumed a then-novel nitazene as well as synthetic cannabinoids, with a history of epilepsy and head injury.
The inquest considered the ingress of drugs into the prison, the methods used to detect drugs and the treatment options available through healthcare for his epilepsy, as well as the resuscitation attempt.
