The lead case concerning the validity of European Arrest Warrants issued by Germany, following the CJEU’s decision (in joined cases C-508/18 and C-82/19/PPU, OG and PI) that warrants issued by German Public Prosecutors were invalid. The Divisional Court gave important guidance on the meaning of the term ‘issuing judicial authority’ under UK law.
