Representing a large group of refugees who have been forced to flee Syria into Jordan as a result of the conflict and are living in refugee camps there. An application to the ICC Prosecutor has been filed on their behalf to open an investigation into the crimes against humanity of unlawful deportation from Syria to Jordan and related offences.
It is the first time that such an application has been made on behalf of Syrian refugees over which the Court has jurisdiction in light of recent rulings by the Court.
