Matthew Hedges and Ali Issa Ahmad file criminal complaints in Sweden, Norway, France and Turkey under the applicable universal jurisdiction laws

Rodney Dixon KC acting on behalf of Matthew Hedges and Ali Issa Ahmad, who were arbitrarily detained and tortured in the UAE, has filed criminal complaints in Sweden, Norway, France, and Turkey where it is expected that one of the key suspects will travel. He is General Ahmed Naser Al Raisi who was the Inspector General in the UAE Ministry of Interior at the time of the detentions. He is currently running to be the next President of Interpol.

The elections are taking place this week at the General Assembly of Interpol in Istanbul. Matthew and Ali are currently in Istanbul to be interviewed by the prosecutor there and to pursue their complaints.
