Freelance Bar librarian sought for part time role
Chambers are looking to engage the services of a self-employed librarian with experience of working in or with Chambers/Inns of Court libraries to assist in the maintenance of the Chambers library.
The library is relatively modest and is spread around a small number of buildings/floors. The role would include ordering and processing new books or publications, shelving items, removing old items from stock, tidying the library shelves, advising chambers on new purchases, dealing with invoices, updating the online library catalogue, as well as some loose-leaf updating.
As the work is freelance, there are no set days/hours in which to carry out the tasks as long as the library is kept up to date and in good order, and the work is done while chambers is staffed. The work would probably require an average of about 1-2 hours per week. It may well suit someone with other commitments around which this work could be accommodated. Rates are to be discussed with interested candidates and will depend on experience.
If interested, please contact Gaye Spencer-King at email@example.com with CV/summary of experience and details of your freelance rates.
