05/12/2019

Rhys Davies, International Counsel for social rights activist Suha Jbara, has submitted urgent communications to both the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention and the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture.

Ms Jbara was forcefully detained on November 3rd 2018 by Palestinian Authority security forces and held in the notorious Jericho Women’s Prison. Submissions have been made to UN bodies in order to secure Ms Jbara’s safety and prevent further breaches of her rights.
