A group of elderly Kenyan citizens from Kericho county who were forcibly removed from their ancestral lands during the period of British colonial rule, and who suffered torture and mistreatment, have filed applications in respect of these violations of the European Convention on Human Rights at the Court in Strasbourg.
The group submit that all their efforts to have their cases investigated and to obtain redress from the UK Government have been refused. Rodney Dixon KC instructed by JK Bosek attorneys in Nairobi, with Aidan Ellis, Anne Coulon and Sebastian Bates have prepared and submitted the applications on behalf of the Kenyan complainants.
