The opening module of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry begins today. Chaired by Baroness Hallet, the Inquiry has been set up to examine the UK’s preparedness for and response to the pandemic, and to learn lessons for the future.
Andrew O’Connor KC is part of the Inquiry team for Module 2, which will examine UK core political and administrative decision making.
Nicholas Moss KC and Harriet Gilchrist are representing The Department for Business and Trade (representing former Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (“BEIS”).
Nicholas Chapman is junior counsel for the Cabinet Office.
Zeenat Islam is instructed as Junior Counsel to the Inquiry for Module 1.
Module 1 is examining the UK’s state of preparedness for the pandemic.
