An inquest into the tragic death of Lauren Bridges resumed on Monday 7 August 2023 at Manchester South Coroner’s Court. Lauren Bridges, who was from Dorset, was detained under Section 3 of the Mental Health Act 1983 in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit at the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, near Manchester. Lauren Bridges, then aged 20, was found unresponsive on 24 February 2022 and died on 26 February 2022 at Wythenshawe Hospital. The inquest is expected to last 4 weeks.
